Our Mission and Purpose:

Provide equitable and inclusive wound care to different groups of individuals including people of different races, ethnicities, religions, abilities, gender, and sexual orientations.

Lead excellence in wound management in a way that supports diversity, equity and inclusion for different groups of people in Northwestern Ontario
Our Goal

Coordinate and integrate our wound care services with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to improve wound healing and prevent lower limb amputation for people living in Northwestern Ontario

Timely access
We believe that people with hard to heal wounds should have timely access to the right treatment to prevent delay in wound healing and avoid undesirable outcomes.

Client centered-care
We believe that wound care management is only possible with a consistency of follow ups and by including client at the centre of care. Therefore, we engage clients in their everyday care and consider their needs, concerns, and preferences. We also strive to create a personalized wound care plan developed specially to meet their unique needs.

Trust and Collaboration
We believe that to achieve better outcomes we need develop trust and collaboration with Clients, families, caregivers, and healthcare providers to ensure our clients receive the support needed to implement the care plan and achieve best results.

Quality care
We strive to provide quality wound care to our clients by engaging our team in continuing education to provide evidence-based-practice through the application of best practice guidelines and best resources available to achieve wound healing and avoid complications.

Decrease Suffer/Pain
We focus on optimizing appropriate resources based on best practice to decrease suffer/pain by achieving wound healing as quickly as possible with appropriate wound care and consistency of treatment according to wound appearance.

We use unique approaches to deliver our individualized wound care plan that is evidence-based and aligned to our Mission, Vision, Values, and Goals.
